Ukrainian Armed Forces not allowing Russians to achieve air superiority – U.S. defense official
The Ukrainian Armed Forces skillfully defend Ukrainian airspace and do not allow Russian forces to obtain air superiority.
A senior U.S. defense official made this assessment on Monday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"We would still maintain that the airspace is contested, that the Russians have not achieved air superiority over all of Ukraine," he said.
"I can't speak to the Ukrainians' air plan. It changes every day. They're being, we think, appropriately careful with their air assets and how they are using them and what they're using them for," the defense official added.
