Enemy drone shot down near Odesa – regional military administration
An air defense unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has shot down an enemy drone near Odesa.
Serhii Bratchuk, spokesman for the operational headquarters of the Odesa regional military administration, said this in a statement posted on his Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.
"On March 17, Russian ships were spotted near Odesa. They suffered losses during a demonstrative line-up at a safe distance. The Operational Command South said on the evening of March 17 that during the demonstration of their inability to storm Odesa, rather than of their strength, the enemy lost an Orlan-10 drone," Bratchuk said.
According to him, in the afternoon, Russian ships lined up off the coast. "It was a kind of putting some psychological pressure on all of us in order for our defense systems to reveal their positions, but it was in vain," Bratchuk said.
On February 24, Russian President Putin announced a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying infrastructure, residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
