Russian missiles hit Lviv airport area – mayor

This morning, Russian enemy troops did not fire on Lviv airport, although explosions were heard in that area.

"Russcist missiles hit the area near Lviv airport. I can't say the address in real time yet, but it's definitely not the airport. The windows in the buildings of our Auto-Transport Enterprise No.1 are damaged. The situation on the spot is being clarified, the details will be published later," Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi posted on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

As Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Vadym Denysenko said during the nationwide telethon, there were explosions in Lviv at about 6:30: "Smoke on the outskirts of Lviv. Fire is visible." Rescuers and relevant officers arrived on the scene, Denysenko added.

On February 24, Russian president Putin announced the beginning of a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops shell and destroy infrastructure, massively fire on residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, and ballistic missiles.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine, and general mobilization was announced.
