Nearly 35,000 civilians leave Mariupol over past two days
About 35,000 civilians have left Mariupol over the past two days despite constant shelling by Russian invaders.
That's according to Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Ukrinform reports.
"People have been leaving for two days in a row, and agreement has been given for people to leave Mariupol in their private vehicles… In total, about 35,000 people have left Mariupol over the past two days," he said.
He noted that traffic from Mariupol is very heavy, there is a lack of fuel, the city is constantly under enemy fire, so the authorities are trying to direct the logistics of people getting to safe places.
