National Guard soldiers capture invaders' IFVs in Luhansk region
Ukrainian National Guard soldiers captured two infantry fighting vehicles of Russian invaders and destroyed a BMP-1 IFV from a grenade launcher.
Serhii Haidai, head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration, said this in a statement released on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Good news for the night. National Guard soldiers seized the equipment of the occupiers in the Luhansk region. The Russian occupiers suffered losses near Kreminna. The National Guard found two infantry fighting vehicles of Russian invaders and destroyed one BMP-1 from a grenade launcher," he wrote.
On February 24, Russian President Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying critical infrastructure, residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
Ukraine officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation with the UN's International Court of Justice in The Hague.
