About 500 Mariupol residents evacuated to Zaporizhzhia – President’s Office
About 500 Mariupol residents have been evacuated to Zaporizhzhia.
Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“Five buses with Mariupol residents, who were able to reach Berdiansk, arrived in Zaporizhzhia. It is about 500 people," he wrote.
According to Tymoshenko, people, who want to continue the evacuation, will be carried to the station. In addition, those, who want to rest, will be placed in kindergartens - they will continue the evacuation later.
As Ukrinform reported, the day before, 4,972 people, including 1,124 children, had been evacuated from the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region, to the city of Zaporizhzhia.
