Dashcams temporarily banned in Ukraine

Drivers in Ukraine were banned from using dash cameras in order to prevent possible exposure of any information about the movement and tasks performed by the country’s defense forces.

The State Border Guard Service reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"In order to avoid disclosure of information about the movement and tasks performed by our defense forces, drivers are prohibited from using dashcams," the statement said.

The State Border Guard Service noted that the Army Command is asking citizens not to circulate personal data and photos exposing faces of officers (unit commanders), as well as geotags and any visual information that could disclose the location of Ukraine’s forces.
