Israel opens field hospital in Lviv region
Israel will open the Kohav Meir field hospital in Mostyska, Lviv region, on Tuesday.
“Tomorrow, Israel’s Kohav Meir field hospital will open in the town of Mostyska near Lviv. The delegation – 60 healthcare professionals from Sheba and Schneider hospitals – left this morning," Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine Michael Brodsky posted on Facebook.
He added that the opening of the hospital was an initiative of the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine, supported by the Ministry of Health of Israel, the Schusterman Foundation, the Joint, and the Lviv Regional Administration.
Israel is the first and so far the only country to open a field hospital in Ukraine, the Ambassador stressed.
As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Knesset of Israel on March 20. In particular, he compared the actions of the Russian authorities towards Ukraine with the actions of the Nazis towards the Jewish people.
