Russian forces shell two districts in Kyiv

Russian troops damaged a shopping center, private homes and a high-rise building in the Sviatoshynsky and Shevchenkivsky districts in Kyiv, injuring four people.

According to Ukrinform, Kyiv City State Administration said this in a statement released on Telegram.

"A shopping center, private homes and a high-rise building came under fire. Fires were extinguished, no one was injured. The premises of the shopping center and two private houses were damaged," the statement said.

The Shevchenkivsky district came under fire in the morning. Rescuers and medics are working on the spot.

"Several private houses and a high-rise building caught fire. Four people were injured. Information about the victims and the nature of destruction is being clarified," the administration said.

Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying infrastructure, residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
