NATO estimates Russia’s losses in Ukraine: up to 15,000 killed

According to the North Atlantic Alliance, up to 15,000 Russian servicemen have been killed since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which roughly coincides with the data of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Our estimate is based on what Ukraine is telling us, what we know from Russia “intentionally or by mistake” and from “open source” information. We believe that the range could be as low as 7,000 or as high as 15,000 in total Russian soldiers killed in the conflict so far,” two senior NATO military officials said at a briefing on Wednesday, CNN informs.

In total, according to the North Atlantic Alliance, Russia could have lost between 30,000 and 40,000 troops killed, wounded, or missing.

As reported, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy's combat losses since February 24 have amounted to about 15,300 people. The data are being specified as the calculation is complicated by the high intensity of hostilities.
