Russian invaders made over 250 sorties on Mar 23 - General Staff

The Russian invaders have made more than 250 sorties in the past 24 hours.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote this on Facebook.

Thus, as of 06:00 on March 24, the Ukrainian defense forces continue to conduct a defense operation in the Eastern, Southeastern and Northeastern directions.

According to the General Staff, the Russian invaders have not succeeded in any of them. Ukrainian defenders are holding back the enemy in these areas, conducting a stabilization operation and carrying out territorial defense tasks.

Enemy aircraft continue to launch missiles and bomb strikes from the air. The enemy has carried out more than 250 flights in the past 24 hours (60 more than on March 22).

The enemy's main targets remain military and civilian infrastructure in Kyiv, Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repulses concentrated missile and air strikes and air attacks of the enemy, provide air cover of important objects of Ukraine and groups of troops.

Over the past day, 11 air targets of the enemy were hit: seven aircraft, one drone, one helicopter and two cruise missiles. Information about their final downing is being clarified.

In the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region, in connection with peaceful protests against the occupation, the enemy resorted to terror of the local population, actively using Russian Guard units to prevent these actions of civil disobedience to the occupation authorities.

The enemy continues to lose manpower and equipment in all directions.

As reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
