Russian invaders kill 144 children in Ukraine - PGO
Russian troops have killed 144 children and wounded more than 220 in Ukraine since February 24, according to data provided by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office.
The largest losses have been recorded in Kyiv region - 68, Kharkiv region - 49, Donetsk region - 54, Chernihiv region - 38, Mykolaiv region - 30, Luhansk region – 28, Zaporizhzhia region – 22, Kyiv city – 16, Zhytomyr region - 15, Sumy region – 15, and Kherson region – 25.
Data on the number of killed and injured children in the city of Mariupol are being clarified.
The prosecutor's office reported that as a result of a mine blast, a 3-year-old child was killed in Luhansk region on March 28.
In addition, on March 28, 2022, three civilians, including a child, were wounded in Russian shelling of a village in Zaporizhzhia region.
In addition, regular air strikes and shelling of civilian infrastructure and residential areas by the Russian armed forces damaged 773 educational institutions. Of which, 75 were completely destroyed. The most damaged schools and kindergartens are in Donetsk region, Kharkiv region, Kyiv region, Chernihiv region, Mykolaiv region, Sumy region, Kherson region, and in Kyiv.
Data on losses are being clarified as the calculation is complicated by the high intensity of hostilities.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
