Three Russian missiles shot down over Lviv region
The Ukrainian air defense shot down three enemy missiles in Zolochivskyi district, Lviv region, on March 28.
Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"Three missiles were shot down by our Air Defense in Zolochivskyi district. Grass caught fire. The fire was then extinguished. There are no threats to the residents of the district. There are no casualties," the statement says.
Overall, air raid sirens in Lviv region were heard three times over the past day, Kozytskyi said.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
Ukraine has officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation with the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague.
