Russia has been withdrawing its troops from Kyiv region for the second day in a row.
Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the head of the Ukrainian President's Office, said this during a nationwide telethon on Ukrainian TV channels.
"They have been really leaving Kyiv region this day, even for the second day in a row, in fact," Arestovych said, noting that despite this, the enemy will continue to retain a certain part of its forces in Kyiv region
At the same time, he said that there had been no significant withdrawal of troops from the Chernihiv region.
As reported, on the eve of another round of talks between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Istanbul on March 29, the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, said that the Russian army would "drastically reduce" operations around the city of Kyiv, as well as Chernihiv.
