Two people killed, five wounded in enemy shelling in Luhansk region
In Luhansk region, two people were killed and five others were wounded in enemy shelling over the past day.
Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports
"A difficult day. The Russians have intensified the so-called ‘liberation’. Honestly and openly: this is an escalation, the situation is difficult. Orcs began to fire en masse at 06:00, and have not stopped. All the cities came under fire. Aviation is used in Popasna, artillery in Lysychansk. There are two dead, five wounded. 21 were rescued,” he wrote.
Haidai also told about one-year old and two-year old children that are in critical condition and might need leg amputation. According to Haidai, they were taken to a hospital in the neighboring region.
In connection with the intensification of hostilities, Haidai called on civilians to leave the city while it is possible.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
