General Staff: Russia attempts to create new group of troops in Slobozhanskyi direction
Russian invaders are attempting to create a new group of troops in the Slobozhanskyi direction.
The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Russian occupation forces are attempting to create a new group of troops in the Slobozhanskyi direction to partially gain control over Kharkiv Region, Luhansk Region and Donetsk Region, including the blockade of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk,” the report states.
The enemy continues to attack the city of Popasna, presumably in order to divert the attention of Ukraine’s military leadership from attempts to gain control over Izium and Mariupol.
In the Siverskyi direction, mercenaries from the Middle East were transferred to the Belarusian city of Gomel.
According to the available data, on March 29, 2022, a total of 200 mercenaries were transferred to the Gomel military airfield. In addition, Russia continues to transfer missile units to Belarus in order to increase the intensity of ballistic missile strikes on Ukrainian settlements and infrastructure facilities.
In particular, three Iskander missile systems and two S-300 air defense systems were detected to cover them near Gomel.
Leaving their military equipment on the territory of Ukraine, the occupiers are increasingly resorting to its mining. In addition, the use of mine traps by the enemy became more frequent.
“Within the temporarily occupied territories, the enemy continues to restrict the movement of local residents. Russian invaders are taking Ukrainian citizens hostage and exporting goods looted from civilians,” the General Staff noted.
Meanwhile, relatives of Russian servicemen killed in the war with Ukraine have started to file lawsuits in court against the Russian military leadership.
In particular, one of such lawsuits was filed against the commander of the 752nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 3rd Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th All-Military Army of the Western Military District.
A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile and air strikes on Ukrainian cities and villages, killing civilians.
