Severely injured children from Mariupol transported to Lviv
Ukrzaliznytsia special wagons arrived in Lviv with Mariupol residents who were severely injured in Russian shelling during the evacuation.
The press service of Ukrzaliznytsia wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Severely injured children and whole families, from the evacuation columns shelled in Mariupol, have been transported in Ukrzaliznytsia special wagons to Lviv today. Terrible injuries, not only physical ones, they will be treated for a long time... Lviv doctors met them on the platform,” the statement reads.
As reported, about 75,000 residents were evacuated from Mariupol through humanitarian corridors, and another 100,000 need to be evacuated to safe places. In addition, the Russian invaders deported about 45,000 people to the so-called DNR and Russia.
