One person killed, five others injured in Russian shelling of Rubizhne

One person was killed and five others were injured in Russian shelling of Rubizhne, Luhansk region.

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Five people were injured and one died in Rubizhne. Eleven buildings were destroyed in the region. These are the consequences of yesterday's shelling by the Russian army of the residential districts of Rubizhne, Lysychansk, Popasna, Severodonetsk, and Toshkivka,” he wrote.

Military and humanitarian situation is worsening in Luhansk region as a result of the Russian invasion. The authorities recommend residents to leave the region.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
