NSDC: Ukraine gets ready for possible Russian chemical attack
Ukraine is ready for the potential use of chemical weapons by the Russian army.
Hospitals and units of the Ukrainian army have a sufficient stock of antidotes.
"Earlier it was said that the Russians could prepare a chemical attack against the Armed Forces and some of our cities. Relevant work was carried out, medical staff was trained. Today, hospitals and our defense forces have enough antidotes," Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov said during the nationwide telethon, Ukrinform reports.
As reported, Dmitry Polyanskiy, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, said that Russia retained the right to use nuclear weapons if the country was "provoked" by NATO.
According to InformNapalm, the Russians may use sarin, a highly toxic nerve agent, in those cities where they fail to break through the defenses.
