Dozens of people killed, 100 wounded in Russian airstrike on Kramatorsk railway station
Dozens of people were killed and more than 100 were wounded in Russian airstrike on a railway station in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region.
Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Russian Nazis hit the Kramatorsk railway station, using an Iskander missile system. Police and rescuers are working on the spot. There are dozens of killed and injured people,” he wrote.
He noted that thousands of people were at the railway station during the missile strike, as evacuation of Donetsk region’s residents to safer areas of Ukraine in currently underway.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia’s report on Telegram, more than 30 people were killed and more than 100 were injured in Russian airstrike on the Kramatorsk railway station.
"As a result of rocket attack on the Kramatorsk railway station, according to operational data, more than 30 people were killed and more than 100 wounded. This is a targeted attack on the passenger infrastructure of the railway and residents of the city of Kramatorsk," the report says.
As earlier Ukrinform reported, everyday civilians depart from the Kramatorsk railway station. Trains leave for various cities in the west and center of Ukraine.
