More than 4.5M refugees left Ukraine – UN

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, more than 4.5 million refugees from Ukraine have crossed borders into neighboring countries.

Since February 24, 4,503,954 people have left Ukraine. In particular, Poland has taken in 2,593,902 refugees, Romania - 686,232, Hungary - 419,101, Moldova - 410,882, Russia - 404,418, Slovakia - 314,485, and Belarus - 19,096

According to UNHCR, more than 7.1 million Ukrainians are considered internally displaced, ie remained in the country but were forced to leave their homes.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
