More than 600 civilians evacuated from Luhansk region – Haidai

On Monday, April 11, more than 600 civilians were evacuated from Luhansk region.

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports

"Ukraine does not abandon its people! More than 600 people have been evacuated from Luhansk region to safety‼ With the help of the patrol police, religious organization and volunteers, it has become possible today to evacuate 65 residents of Kreminna, 20 residents of Rubizhne, 10 residents of Popasna, 516 people from Lysychansk and Severodonetsk,” the governor wrote.

At the same time, Haidai noted that evacuation is not yet possible in the Hirska community due to Russian shelling.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
