Russian invaders holding 69 people hostage in Zaporizhzhia region
In Zaporizhzhia region, Russian invaders have taken hostage 69 people, 13 of whom are government officials.
The Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"According to the regional military administration, 114 civilians were taken hostage. Of these, 69 are still being held hostage, 45 have been released. In terms of the categories of citizens, 24 people (11 of whom were released) are representatives of government and local government. There are 2 journalists, both of whom have already been freed,” the report says.
As previously reported, Zaporizhzhia journalist Iryna Dubchenko was released from captivity last Friday. As of today, Mayor of Dniprorudny Yevhen Matveyev, Chairman of the Melitopol District Council Serhiy Pryima, First Deputy Mayor of Enerhodar Ivan Samoidyuk remain in captivity.
