Front line pushed 40-50 kilometers away from Kryvyi Rih – regional administration
The city of Kryvyi Rih continues to enhance the defense lines, pushing the front line away.
The relevant statement was made by Kryvyi Rih Regional Military Administration Head Oleksandr Vilkul during a telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The front line has been pushed 40-50 kilometers away from Kryvyi Rih. At each stage, we are building additional defense lines. We are an industrial city, but the enemy is still here and taking actions too. We are preparing for any scenario,” Vilkul told.
In his words, the city budget has decreased, but there are enough funds to make social payments, pay salaries. All infrastructure facilities are working; gas and water supply services are provided.
“Large enterprises are running. Small and medium-sized businesses are starting to run. We are working with each enterprise individually, assisting them with building new logistics, raw material supplies,” Vilkul noted.
Meanwhile, capital construction and development programs have been frozen in the city so far. A contract for the procurement of 15 trams was also cancelled.
A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile and air strikes on Ukrainian cities and villages, torturing and murdering civilians.
