919 settlements in eight regions of Ukraine liberated from occupation

More than 900 settlements have been liberated from occupation in Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Mykolayiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions.

"More than 11,000 settlements are located in the de-occupied territories of Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Mykolayiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions. More than three thousand settlements were or are still under occupation. Currently, 919 towns and villages have been liberated from occupation,” Deputy Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko said at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Tymoshenko added that the bodies of local self-government and the executive bodies had already resumed their work in 29% of liberated settlements. Moreover, humanitarian headquarters, led by regional military administrations and the State Emergency Service departments, opened in 192 settlements. Mine action activities are carried out in 70 towns and villages.

In addition, Tymoshenko provided data on the restoration of critical infrastructure.

In particular, gas supply was restored in more than 280 settlements, electricity supply – in more than 300, operation of gas stations – 83, healthcare facilities – 256, the National Police departments – 336, social services institutions – more than 250, Ukrposhta state postal service – 74. At the same time, water supply and sewerage infrastructure were restored by 29%, and 335 settlements already may use mobile communication services.
