Invaders set up four military bases in temporarily occupied Melitopol

Russian invaders set up four military bases in the temporarily occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region.

"The situation on the ground is very difficult because people are waiting for the humanitarian convoy and there is a lot of concern about the security situation. Russian troops set up the fourth military base in the town: one of them is based directly at the airport that was captured and fired on the first day of the war, and three more – in the territory of industrial enterprises that are also located in the town," Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov said during the nationwide telethon, Ukrinform reports.

He noted that the Ukrainian authorities were unable to send a humanitarian convoy to Melitopol for the fifth day in a row due to the escalation of hostilities.

On February 24, Russia launched a new phase of the eight-year war against Ukraine – a full-scale offensive. The enemy massively shells and bombs peaceful Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages. The Armed Forces, the Territorial Defense Forces and the entire Ukrainian people are effectively resisting Russian troops and inflicting heavy losses on them.
