Ukraine’s Armed Forces repulse nine enemy attacks in Donetsk and Luhansk regions

Over the past day, April 20, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repulsed nine Russian attacks in the territory of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

“One tank, ten armored personnel vehicles, two vehicles, one artillery system, two units of special engineering equipment, an anti-aircraft missile system, and an enemy ammunition depot were destroyed,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine downed four air targets: three unmanned aerial vehicles and one cruise missile.

The General Staff emphasizes that the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine continues. In particular, the enemy tries to continue offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone in order to establish full control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The enemy also keeps launching missile and bomb strikes on military and civilian infrastructure throughout Ukraine.

In Volyn, Polissia, and Siversky directions, the enemy did not take active action, no changes in the condition and position of groups of his troops were detected.

In Slobozhansky direction, the enemy continues to step up the system of technical support.

In Balakleya, wounded Russian servicemen are put in a local polyclinic though a hospital for Russian military was set up in a local music school earlier. The fact that occupiers are put in the town polyclinic indicates a significant increase in the number of the wounded and problems with their subsequent medical evacuation.

The enemy continues to partially block and shell the city of Kharkiv. In Donetsk and Tavriysky directions, the enemy continues to fire artillery along the entire line of contact.

In Kherson region, the invaders plan to organize the forced mobilization of locals for war with Ukraine. At the same time, the occupiers aim to completely stop the humanitarian support for the region from the Ukrainian authorities. The population is terrorized.

In particular, in the village of Zolota Balka, Kherson region, representatives of the Russian occupying forces held a meeting with the local population, saying that there would be no more "green corridors" and banned people from leaving the village. In addition, the occupiers warned that if the Armed Forces of Ukraine started to shell their positions, they would start to shell the village. The occupiers continue to raid on houses.

In the Southern Buh direction, the enemy fires on the Ukrainian positions.
