Prisoner swap with Russia: 19 Ukrainians returning home

As part of the exchange of prisoners of war with Russia, 19 people, including 10 military, are returning to Ukraine.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Another exchange of prisoners of war took place. Today we are returning home 19 people, including 10 military (including two officers) and 9 civilians,” Vereshchuk wrote.

According to the deputy prime minister, this time there are wounded among the freed people, who will receive comprehensive treatment and undergo rehabilitation.

Vereshchuk thanked President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky for his constant personal involvement in the process of exchanging prisoners of war.

As Ukrinform reported, on April 19, Ukraine and Russia exchanged prisoners of war for the fifth time since the start of the Russian invasion, with a total of 76 Ukrainians returning home.
