PGO: 620 Russia war crimes suspects identified

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has already identified 620 suspects in the unified criminal case initiated over the Russian military aggression against Ukraine.

"The unified case of Russian aggression: 620 suspects - representatives of the military and political leadership of Russia. These are ministers, deputies, military command, officials, heads of law enforcement agencies, instigators of war and Kremlin propagandists,” the Prosecutor General’s Office wrote on Telegram.

Overall, as of Friday morning, Ukrainian law enforcement registered 7,836 criminal proceedings into crimes of aggression and war crimes committed by the Russian Federation: 7,599 violations of the laws and customs of war, 48 crimes related to planning, preparing or waging an aggressive war, 11 crimes related to the propaganda of war, 178 other crimes.

In addition, 3,652 crimes against the national security of Ukraine have already been registered, including 2,355 crimes related to the encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, 632 crimes related to treason, 60 crimes related to sabotage, and 605 other crimes.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
