Center for Countering Disinformation releases new selection of fakes from Russian propaganda

The Center for Combating Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has presented a selection of fakes, manipulations and disinformation produced by Russian propaganda on April 22.

According to Ukrinform, the Center reported this on Telegram.

According to the report, the first manipulation concerns "assistance to the residents of Donbas." The Kremlin's press service said that in a phone call with European Parliament President Charles Michel, "Putin spoke about the ongoing measures to protect the civilian population of Donbas, as well as the daily opening of humanitarian corridors."

The second manipulation or Russian fantasy is that "during the second phase of the special operation, the Russian army must establish full control over Donbas and southern Ukraine in order to secure a land corridor to Crimea."

Russian propaganda also launched false information that "the situation in Mariupol has returned to normal and residents of the city can move freely on the streets without hiding from shelling by the Ukrainian Nazis."

Ukrinform reported earlier that with the help of an information blockade, Russia is trying to hide from its citizens the course and consequences of the war.
