Russian invaders fired on civilians in the Luhansk region 17 times in the past 24 hours.

Serhii Haidai, the head of the regional military administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The Russians fired on civilians 17 times over the past 24 hours. Fighting continues in Popasna and Rubizhne. Popasna, Lysychansk and the Hirske community were hit the hardest," Haidai said.

In particular, Popasna withstood four powerful artillery attacks, and two attacks were carried out against Lysychansk.

"Two houses were damaged in Lysychansk, two in Popasna, and at least one in Hirske. We are checking information on possible casualties," he said.

Haidai said the Russians continue to fight in the area of Rubizhne, trying to capture Popasna.
