The liberation of the territories of Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Zhytomyr by the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Russian occupation opened a horrific picture of genocide and total terror perpetrated by Russian invaders. The world is beginning to recover from what it saw and react to the crimes committed by Russia. At the same time, the Russian army continues to occupy Ukrainian territories in the east and south of our country. According to information coming from there, the invaders have established a harsh occupation regime, war crimes and crimes against humanity are being committed, Ukraine is being looted, and various terrorist practices are being used by Russian troops. The coordination of this practice at the highest level in Russia is unequivocal. All this requires a reaction from the world, the inevitable punishment of Russian criminals, as well as the development of effective mechanisms for bringing information about Russia's crimes to the world community. At the same time, Russia remains a permanent member of the UN Security Council with the right of veto, which is one of the factors complicating the application of mechanisms of punishment and sanctions. What should Ukraine and the world do to effectively punish the aggressor?
