US House of Representatives passes military lend-lease program for Ukraine
The US House of Representatives has supported a bill that would streamline a military lend-lease program to more quickly provide Ukraine and other Eastern European countries with American equipment to fight the Russian invasion.
According to an Ukrinform correspondent, 417 congressmen voted in favor of the measure, while ten voted against the document.
On April 7, the bill was approved by the US Senate.
The bill will take effect after President Joe Biden signs it into law.
In early April, the US Senate unanimously passed a law allowing Biden to use a lend-lease program to speed up the transfer of weapons, military equipment, medicines, food, etc. to Ukraine.
