Russian invaders shelled 14 settlements in JFO area over past day, casualties reported
Russian invaders have shelled 14 settlements within the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area over the past day, causing casualties among civilians.
The relevant statement was made by the JFO’s press service on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Over the past day, 14 settlements have come under enemy fire: Sievierodonetsk, Rubizhne, Popasna. Lysychansk, Hirske (Luhansk Region); Mariupol, Avdiivka, Dobropillia, Lyman, Ocheretyne, Drobysheve, Novosilka, Dibrova, Pisky (Donetsk Region). Russian troops launched barbaric air, artillery and mortar strikes, having destroyed or seriously damaged about 16 residential houses and several social facilities. There are casualties among civilians,” the report states.
In particular, three children were injured in Russia’s shelling of Dobropillia, Pokrovsk District. Two women and two men received lacerated, slash and other wounds. One more child received shrapnel wounds in Drobysheve, Kramatorsk District. Two men were injured in Russia’s shelling of Lyman.
A reminder that, between February 24, 2022 and May 1, 2022, Russia’s total combat losses in Ukraine reached about 23,500 troops.
