2 people killed, 13 buildings damaged in Russia’s shelling of village in Zaporizhzhia region
The Russian military continues to destroy residential buildings in villages and towns of Zaporizhzhia region. Two people were killed and 13 buildings were damaged in the shelling of Zaliznychne village.
According to Colonel Ivan Arefyev, Spokesperson for the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the invaders shelled the village of Zaliznychne, Huliaypole district on May 3.
"Russian invaders smashed a local school. A missile smashed the building, roof and windows. In addition, 13 houses were damaged. As a result of the shelling, two people received fatal shrapnel wounds," the Administration informs.
The criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 438 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (violation of laws and customs of war) were opened.
On February 24, the Russian Federation launched a new phase of the eight-year war against Ukraine – a full-scale invasion. Russian invaders shell and bomb peaceful Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages, torturing and killing civilians.
