Destructions and casualties after Russia’s missile, air and artillery strikes last night – consolidated report

In the evening of May 3, 2022, the Russian military launched missile strikes on different regions of Ukraine, having caused destructions and casualties.

The relevant statement was made in a consolidated report from regional military and civil administrations on the situation across Ukrainian regions as of 08:00 a.m., May 4, 2022.

In Luhansk Region, two civilians were killed and two injured in Russia’s shelling of Lysychansk and Novodruzhesk. A total of 49 people were evacuated from Luhansk Region yesterday. Russian troops launched four missile and air strikes on Sievierodonetsk, Rubizhne, Lysychansk and Zolote. The enemy also launched artillery strikes on such territorial communities as Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk, Popasna and Hirske. A total of 45 residential houses and other facilities were damaged.

In Donetsk Region, Russian troops shelled Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Plant yesterday, having caused casualties. This morning Avdiivka Plant has come under enemy fire again. Infrastructure facilities were damaged. Further details are yet to be reported. Last night Russian invaders shelled Marinka with incendiary ammunition, causing fires in detached houses. Near Novomykhailivka, Russian troops are firing almost around the clock.

Russia’s shelling of Kharkiv outskirts was of low intensity last night. No casualties were reported. In Kharkiv Region, Russian troops opened fire on Derhachi, Zolochiv, Bohodukhiv and Chuhuiv throughout the day. Six civilians have been injured over the past day. One person was killed in Izium District. Battles are raging in the Izium direction.

In Kherson Region, the situation is remaining challenging. Explosions and shelling were heard last night. Russian invaders continue looting.

One of districts in the city of Mykolaiv came under enemy fire last night. No casualties were reported. Residential houses were slightly damaged.

In the evening of May 3, 2022, Russian troops launched missile strikes on different regions of Ukraine. The Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units neutralized enemy missiles in Vinnytsia Region, Kyiv Region and Zaporizhzhia Region.

In Kirovohrad Region, a traction power substation was damaged in Russia’s missile strike. One more missile was shot down.

In Odesa Region, three enemy missiles were destroyed by the anti-aircraft defense units. Meanwhile, Russia’s missile strikes hit infrastructure facilities within the Artsyz territorial community. No casualties were reported.

In Dnipropetrovsk Region, a traction power substation was damaged in Russia’s two missile strikes. One person was injured.

In Zakarpattia Region, Russia’s missile strike hit a power substation at the railway station. No casualties were reported, but a distribution gas pipeline was damaged. Repair works are underway.

In Lviv Region, enemy missiles also hit power substations, having caused serious damage. Two persons were injured.

In Sumy Region, Russian troops opened fire from across the state border three times. At about 07:00 a.m., May 4, 2022, an enemy helicopter was launching strikes along the border in Sumy District. The data on casualties and destructions are yet to be reported.
