Mykolaiv paratroopers shoot down Russian drone
Mykolaiv paratroopers have shot down a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle of the Leer electronic warfare system.
According to Ukrinform, the command of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces said this in a post on Facebook.
"A serviceman of the reconnaissance unit of the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade used small arms to shoot down an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Leer electronic warfare system, which is designed to suppress GSM communications," the statement said.
Earlier reports said that from February 24 to May 12, the Armed Forces of Ukraine killed about 26,650 Russian soldiers and destroyed 1,195 tanks, 2,873 armored fighting vehicles, 534 artillery systems, 191 multiple launch rocket systems, 87 anti-aircraft warfare systems, 199 aircraft, and 161 helicopters.
