Rescuers extinguish fire caused by Russia’s missile strike on Khortytsia
Rescuers have extinguished a fire on the island of Khortytsia, which was caused by a Russian missile strike on Zaporizhzhia Region.
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Emergency Service in Zaporizhzhia Region on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Firefighters eliminated two seats of dry grass fire on the island of Khortytsia, which occurred after Russia’s missile strike on Zaporizhzhia Region. The fire caused damage to the natural environment within an area of about 500 square meters,” the report states.
No casualties were reported. Three equipment units and 16 rescuers were involved in firefighting operations.
A reminder that, on May 12, 2022, the Russian military launched a missile strike on Zaporizhzhia Region, having hit the island of Khortytsia.
