Russia already kills 227 children in Ukraine
As of May 14, 227 children have been killed and 420 injured in Ukraine as a result of the military aggression waged by the Russian Federation.
The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office said this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"As of the morning of May 14, more than 647 children have been affected in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression waged by the Russian Federation. According to official data, 227 children were killed and over 420 were injured," the statement said.
These figures are not final, as work is underway to establish casualties in places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories, the Prosecutor General's Office said.
According to juvenile prosecutors, most children were affected in Donetsk region – 139, Kyiv region – 116, Kharkiv region – 99, Chernihiv region – 68, Kherson region – 48, Luhansk region – 45, Mykolaiv region – 44, Zaporizhzhia region – 28, Sumy region – 17, Kyiv city – 16, Zhytomyr region – 15.
A 12-year-old boy died on May 12 at a medical facility. He was seriously injured on May 1 during the shelling of the town of Popasna in the Luhansk region.
