Explosions heard in Mykolayiv city this morning – mayor

Explosions have been heard in Mykolayiv city this morning. The local authorities urge citizens to stay in shelters.

"Explosions are heard in Mykolayiv. Friends, stay away from windows. Stay in shelters or behind two walls," Mykolayiv city mayor Oleksandr Senkevich posted on Telegram.

At 05:19, air raid siren sounded in the city. At 05:45, all clear signal was given.

Details are not known yet.

On February 24, Russian president Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops shell and destroy key infrastructure, massively fire on Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages using artillery, MLRS, and ballistic missiles.
