Russian forces launch missile strike on Okhtyrka
Russian troops launched a missile strike on the town of Okhtyrka in the Sumy region early on Tuesday, injuring at least five people.
Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, said this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Five Russian missiles struck civilian targets and caused a lot of damage. At least five people were injured in today's strike on the town," the statement said.
According to Zhyvytskyi, the missiles hit mainly the central part of the town and the Dachnyi residential neighborhood.
Warehouses caught fire. The blast wave damaged the front door of a two-story building, leaving people trapped inside.
Many private houses were damaged.
The windows in the temple were broken. The Kazka kindergarten was also damaged.
