Sumy region shelled from Russia’s territory. Over 70 explosions recorded near border

In the morning, Russian troops again fired on the border localities of Sumy region, northern Ukraine.

"The enemy continues to fire on border localities of Sumy region from the Russian Federation's territory. At about 08:45 today, eyewitnesses spotted five shots from the Russian Federation, in Esman area," the Operational Command "North" posted on Facebook.

From 09:30 to 10:00, 70 explosions were recorded in the direction of Boyaro-Lezhachi from the territory of the Russian Federation, at about 10:10 – six explosions in the area of Sopych.

No casualties among Ukrainian personnel or damages to equipment have been reported.

As reported, on the morning of May 17, the Russians shelled the military town of Desna in Chernihiv region, killing and wounding many people.
