Russians destroy nearly 90% of houses in occupied settlement in Kharkiv Region
In the village of Vilkhivka, Kharkiv Region, which used to be temporarily occupied by Russian troops, nearly 90% of houses were destroyed.
The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We have visited the village of Vilkhivka, liberated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russians came here in the early days of the full-scale invasion. The occupiers destroyed nearly 90% of houses,” Syniehubov wrote.
Law enforcement officers are now recording the crimes committed by the Russian army.
Syniehubov posted the photographs of a local school, lying in ruins, which was seized by Russian invaders in March 2022. In his words, the corpses of Russian soldiers can be still found there.
As in other liberated settlements, the enemy has planted a lot of mines in Vilkhivka. Now the Ukrainian military and explosives experts are working there.
According to Syniehubov, it is important to do everything to enable people to return to normal life, namely to restore critical infrastructure, provide social benefits and humanitarian aid.
A reminder that one person has been killed and 20 injured in Russia’s shelling of Kharkiv Region over the past day.
