Five civilians killed, 11 injured in Russia’s shelling of Donetsk Region

Five civilians have been killed and 11 injured in Russia’s shelling of Donetsk Region over the past day.

The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Pavlo Kyrylenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“On May 22, 2022, Russians killed five civilians in Donetsk Region: two in Lyman, one in Dachne, one in Klynove and one in Avdiivka. Eleven more people were injured,” Kyrylenko wrote.

In addition, one person, who had been injured in Luhansk Region, received medical aid in Bakhmut.

In general, a total of 412 civilians have been killed and 1,140 injured in Donetsk Region since the Russian invasion started.

Meanwhile, it is impossible to calculate the exact number of casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha at the moment, Kyrylenko added.
