Ukrainian Joint Forces repel 16 enemy attacks, destroy eight tanks
The Ukrainian Joint Forces destroyed eight Russian tanks and more than 20 enemy vehicles in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions on May 23.
According to Ukrinform, the Joint Forces Task Force said this on Facebook.
Along the entire line of defense, Russian troops are using combat aircraft, multiple rocket launchers, large-caliber barrel artillery, tanks, mortars of various systems, launching missile and bomb strikes on civilian infrastructure and peaceful residential areas, the report said.
In particular, the invaders fired on 38 settlements in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, destroying and damaging 62 civilian objects, including 53 houses, an agricultural enterprise, a kindergarten, a bank branch, a pharmacy and a national police building.
At least seven civilians were killed and six others were injured in the shelling.

In the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Joint Forces have destroyed eight Russian tanks, an enemy vehicle and 22 armored vehicles.
Ukraine's air defense units shot down a Russian Granat drone and six Orlan-10 drones in the east.
Between February 24 and May 23, Ukrainian defenders killed about 29,200 Russian soldiers. Also, Ukraine's Armed Forces destroyed 1,293 tanks, 3,166 armored fighting vehicles, 604 artillery systems, 201 MLRS, 93 air defense systems, and 204 aircraft.
