Russian invaders conduct offensive on Sievierodonetsk and Borivske
Russian troops are conducting the offensive on such settlements as Sievierodonetsk and Borivske, as well as Komyshuvakha, Nyrkove, Berestove and Bilohorivka.
The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“In the Sievierodonetsk direction, the enemy is advancing in the direction of Sievierodonetsk and Borivske. It is not successful. In the direction of Ustynivka, the enemy had partial success. In order to disrupt logistics and prevent the maneuver of Ukrainian forces, the enemy is launching strikes on bridge crossings,” the report states.
In the Bakhmut direction, Russian occupiers are conducting the offensive on Komyshuvakha, Nyrkove, Berestove and Bilohorovka. They had no success, suffered losses and retreated. In the direction of Pokrovske and Klynove, the enemy had partial success, captured the settlement of Midna Ruda. Russian troops are regrouping.
In the Donetsk direction, the enemy continues to open fire on Ukrainian positions, launch missile strikes, conduct reconnaissance, increase air support and regroup troops. The enemy’s groups are enhanced with reserve units.
In the Lyman direction, Russian invaders focused their efforts on inflicting fire damage to Ukrainian forces near Ozerne and to the south of Lyman.
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy tried to resume the offensive but had no success.
In the Kurakhove, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions, Russian troops did not conduct active hostilities, opened fire with mortar, rocket and cannon artillery systems.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy’s group was reinforced with a formed tank battalion on T-62 tanks.
In the Southern Bug direction, Russian troops did not conduct active hostilities. They continued to fire at Ukrainian positions and conduct air reconnaissance using UAVs. The occupiers’ engineering units carried out measures to mine the coast of the Kakhovka Reservoir.
In the Bessarabian direction, within Transnistria, the level of terrorist threat has been reduced. Meanwhile, Russian troops continue to serve in enhanced mode.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, tactical exercises of Belarusian special operations forces, air forces and air defense forces are underway in Brest Region.
In the Siverskyi direction, Russian troops continue to harden positions within the border areas of Bryansk Region. According to the available information, in order to strengthen the protection of the Russian-Ukrainian border, Russian troops are engaging the airborne units.
The enemy continues to launch mortar and artillery strikes on Ukrainian defense positions within the border areas of Sumy Region.
In the Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian invaders did not conduct active offensive operations.
In the Kharkiv and Sloviansk directions, the enemy focused its main efforts on holding the occupied positions and restraining the advance of Ukrainian forces, shelling the Ukrainian positions. In order to clarify the position of Ukrainian forces, Russian invaders conducted air reconnaissance with Orlan-10 UAVs. They also carried out remote mining on the routes which are likely to be used by Ukrainian forces.
With the support of artillery, Russian troops conducted the offensive on Bohorodychne but had no success and retreated.
In Belgorod Region and Voronezh Region, Russian troops continue to prepare reserves. They are replenishing stocks to resume the offensive.
Within the temporarily occupied areas, Russian occupation forces are preventing civilians from leaving for Ukrainian-controlled territories. In addition, Russian occupiers began to broadcast propaganda through available and special television and radio means.
