Ukrainian children becoming targets for Russian invaders - Tkachenko
Today, Ukrainian children are becoming a target for Russian invaders.
Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko addressed the issue on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"It is difficult that in our world there is such date as International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Military Aggression. It is even more difficult that our country is aware of all the pain and horror of this date. June 4 in Ukraine honors the memory of children killed as a result of Russian aggression. It is not easy to choose the right words because children must not be victims of war, but today Ukrainian children, unfortunately, are the target of ruscists. Russians have not a drop of humanity in them when they point their arms at those little kids. This is a crime – not only against humanity, but also against the future of the whole world," the minister wrote.
He recalled that over the 100 days of Russia's war against Ukraine, at least 261 children became victims of war crimes of the Russian army. Another 463 children were injured, according to tentative reports. Tkachenko stressed that all this was the result of completely inhumane and savage actions on the part of the invaders, who will never be forgiven.
"The whole world is watching this today and I wish to believe that no crime will go unpunished," he added.
More than 726 children were affected in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation.
