Ukraine, Russia exchange bodies of fallen soldiers in Zaporizhzhia Region
At the front line in Zaporizhzhia Region, Ukraine and Russia have exchanged the bodies of the fallen soldiers under the ’50 for 50’ formula.
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Temporarily Occupied Territories Reintegration Ministry, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The relevant agreements were reached as a result of talks with the participation of Commissioner on Persons Gone Missing under Special Circumstances Oleg Kotenko.
“Among our 50 servicemen, there are 37 heroic Azovstal defenders,” the ministry noted.
The operation was carried out by the Ukrainian Temporarily Occupied Territories Reintegration Ministry, Chief Intelligence Directorate, Defense Ministry, Security Service of Ukraine, General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.
A reminder that, on June 4, 2022, Ukraine and Russia exchanged the bodies of the fallen soldiers under the ‘160 for 160’ formula.
