Russians opened fire on Sumy Region, Chernihiv Region seven times today so far

Russian troops have opened fire on the border areas of Sumy Region and Chernihiv Region seven times today so far.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Internal Affairs Ministry on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Today the enemy has already fired at the border areas of Sumy Region and Chernihiv Region with mortar and artillery systems seven times so far,” the report states.

Last night the enemy opened fire on Sumy Region with mortar systems three times. Russians launched about twenty 120 mm mortar shells from Bryansk Region’s Zernovo and Strachevo.

Ten more Russian projectiles were launched from Kursk Region’s Popovka and exploded in Sumy Region’s Shostka District at about 11:00 a.m.

In the morning of June 10, 2022, Russian troops fired at Chernihiv Region with cannon artillery and mortar systems three times. Over 20 explosions were recorded in Novhorod-Siverskyi District.
