Ukraine Army repulses Russian assault effort in Sloviansk direction
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have successfully repulsed Russian assault operations in the directions Dovhenke - Mazanivka and Dovhenke - Dolyna.
That’s according to a war update by the General Staff as of 18:00 local time on June 12.
In the Donetsk direction, Russia’s main efforts are focused on the Siverodonetsk and Bakhmut directions. The Russians keep firing on the Ukrainian positions along the line of contact.
Russian enemy took no significant action in the Lyman direction, continuing to shell Ukrainian units and preparing for another offensive.
In the Siverodonetsk direction, the Russians employed barrel and jet artillery, trying to tackle the resistance of Ukrainian troops and establish full control over the city, where close quarter warfare is raging.
In the Bakhmut direction, Russian occupiers ran assault operations, with no success, to seize the village of Vrubivka.
To their attempt to resume the assault effort in the direction of Orikhove - Zolote, Russian forces saw a decisive rebuff and were forced to withdraw.
In the Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces are trying to improve their tactical situation, reinforcing their defense lines near Novy Burluk.
They fired mortars, artillery, and MLR systems at the settlements of Zamulivka, Bayrak, Husarivka, and Ruski Tyshky.
They also unsuccessfully stormed the area toward the settlements of Starytsa and Rubizhne.
In the Avdiyivka, Novopavlivske, and Zaporizhia directions, the Russians launch heavy fire to restrain Ukraine’s actions and prevent regrouping.
In the South Buh area, Russian invaders are trying to hold ground on their former positions, firing on Ukrainian units.
Russian artillery and MLR systems engaged the settlements of Osokorivka, Trudolyubivka, Shyroke, Dobryanka, and Blahodatne.
In the Volyn, Polissya and Siversky directions, no significant changes were observed.
In the Siversky direction, Russian occupiers keep shelling Ukraine’s positions and civilian infrastructure in the settlements of Khrinivka, Chernihiv region, and Oleksandrivka, Sumy region.
Ukrainian defenders keep inflicting losses on the Russian occupation forces in all active hostility areas, the report concludes.
